This model is based on an original 60’s “Gordie”. Respect to the OG - Gordon Duane “Gordie”.

Originally surfapig wasn’t really a “brand”, it was a “blog” for people who dig on 60’s surfboards & vibes. The “pig” being a quintessential design of that era, the name stuck when it came to what board Mike and many others in that group preferred to ride. It has evolved & with it a base of people who want to ride newly made boards influenced by the past. Sure, there’s still boards out there made in the 60’s. But chances are it’s hanging on a wall or standing in the corner of a house. Worse yet they’re buried in a pile in a garage or self storage unit. If you’re surfing one from the 60’s it’s 40lbs+, beat up, and water logged.
